September 2015: Science programme "W wie Wissen"
The invention of glass brought many useful and convenient things to mankind like drinking vessels or light-flooded and yet sheltered rooms. Roughly speaking it was a fortunate coincidence that our ancestors found this versatile substance some 4,000 years ago.
MM FILM & VIDEO shot footage together with journalist Julia Schwenn of German Television (NDR) for a broadcast about glass production past and present. In upper Franconia you can still find both historical and present-day glass production.
