Gerhard Friedrich already started his professional career in 1977 during his school days with the production of short films. After studying at the national technical school for optics and photo technics (department for assistants to the cameraman) he has lead the production departments in several TV-production companies since 1984. Furthermore he worked as a camera operator for various documentaries and industrial films for TV-channels and ministerial accounts.
Together with Manfred Mueller he developed concepts for the first German entire production of the German Soccer League for a private TV-channel (SAT.1), before the beginning of “ran".
After the concept- and planning stage of FairPlay Productions GmbH, which has been founded by order of the DFL for the production of the German soccer league, Gerhard Friedrich led the commercial department from 2004 until 2006.
Since 1990 Gerhard Friedrich works for MM FILM & VIDEO and is executive director since 2007. Since November 2015 he together with Manfred Mueller is associate of MM FILM & VIDEO.
Gerhard loves to shoot for television magazines or imagefilms and works as a live cameraman or vision mixer.
